New goodies

My Papertrey Ink order came yesterday and I found a few minutes to play today! It was hard to decide which set to play with first but I finally decided on the Take Note stamp set. I made a cute little notebook inspired by the notebook queen Michelle Wooderson. You can find her blog here.....be prepared for lots of loveliness! I used paper from PTI's Pink Patterns line, PTI Sweet Blush ribbon and cardstock, a notepad from PTI, a Fiskars border punch, black cardstock and some buttons from my stash (I did not have matching PTI Spring Moss buttons, gasp!). Birthday card

Tomorrow is my Mother's birthday. She needed a card and I needed an excuse to play with some stamps......here is the result.

I used my new stamps from Waltzingmouse Stamps for the plaid background. The stamp set is called Off Beat Backgrounds and it is so much fun! I then pulled out my Vintage Picnic set from Papertrey Ink and my Prismacolor pencils (which I have not touched in YEARS!) and used them for the center image. I have been meaning to try my hand at coloring with my pencils for a while now. I do NOT want to try Copics as I know I will want to start collecting them too......and I do not need another obsession! After using the blender pencil I was pretty happy with my results.

Supplies:

Ink: Black, Orange Zest and Enchanted Evening (PTI)
Ribbon: Enchanted Evening (PTI)
Stamps: Vintage Picnic and Sign Language (PTI), Off Beat Backgrounds (Waltzingmouse Stamps)
Nestabilities Label Four die (Spellbinders)
Prismacolor pencils

It's World Card Making Day!

I just HAD to make sure I posted a couple of cards today since it is WCMD. I have two more Christmas cards to share......both made with stamps from Papertrey Ink. And I am LOVING my Nestabilities as you can tell. I have been using them on almost every card. And for anyone local, I found them for a great price at Pat Catan's.......they run around $15!

This one uses the stamp set Signature Christmas from PTI, a Fiskars border punch, pattern paper from Basic Grey, Labels One Nestabilities from Spellbinders and a felt embellishment from Making Memories ( soooo cute!).

This one uses PTI stamp sets VintageLabels (which coordinates with the Labels One Nestabilities) and Peaceful Poinsettia, Labels One Nestabilities die, and a Fiskars border punch.

Well, that is all from me for today. Have a great weekend everyone!

Quick card

Just another card using the Cricut cartridge A Child's Year. Quick and easy!

The image, number and scallop were all cut with the Cricut. I used a hole punch along the edges of the scallop oval and layered it all on some old Chatterbox paper.

Christmas cards

As I have said before, I consider myself card challenged. And I was never very interested in stamping. Lately that has changed..........partly because I love the products from Papertrey Ink and partly because my photos are so unorganized I cannot find anything TO scrapbook! I am working on the photos.....but in the meantime I am feeling the need to do something crafty so I have done a few cards here and there. I have not sent out Christmas cards in years because it was one thing that really stressed me out so I just gave it up. This year I am going to make a few to go along with our gifts. Each one will be unique. Just sharing my first one...........thanks for looking!

Supplies:

Cardstock: New Leaf (Papertrey Ink) and Bazzill Basics
Pattern paper:Anna Griffin
Diecuts: Top Note die (Stampin Up)
Stamps: Signature Christmas (Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Fresh Snow (Papertrey Ink)
Embossing folder: Cuttlebug Swiss Dot (Provocraft)
Ribbon and button from my stash

Keeping Tabs

I am seriously considering giving everyone on my Christmas list gift cards this year. The challenge will be to package them in a clever and beautiful way. So, I am again going to turn to Timeless Templates designed by Lauren Meader. They make your "gift wrapping" look fabulous and are available for purchase at www.papertreyink.com. This one is called Keeping Tabs. It was so much fun to do....and easy too! Here is the outside.....

And here it is opened up.......

I am thinking it will be perfect to hold a few goodies and a gift card for someone.

Supplies:

Cardstock: Bazzill Basics
PatternPaper: Anna Griffin
Stamps: Peaceful Poinsettia and Vintage Labels(Papertrey Ink)
Ink: Ocean Tides, Hibiscus Burst and Spring Moss (Papertrey Ink)
Diecuts: Spellbinders Nestabilities Label One
Buttons and ribbon from my stash

A Child's Year

I have been dying to buy this cartridge for months now and I finally won it on Ebay. This is my first project with it but certainly not my last. I thought this image would be perfect for a card.

There are so many darling images for cards and layouts. I think my next project is going to be a plate though. I found some plain glass plates at Dollar Tree and I am going to etch one with an image from this cart. I just have to make the difficult decision of which one to use!

I have been doing lots of crafting the past week so I will post a new project tomorrow using a Timeless Template from Papertrey Ink. Hope to "see" you then!
